Case

Details: When high school guidance counselor Marilyn DePue vanished in Coldwater, Michigan on Easter 1990, suspicion immediately fell upon her husband, Dennis. They had a stormy marriage, and when she filed for divorce, he retaliated. He assaulted her in front of her children, then took her away, indicating he wanted to go to the hospital -- but she was later murdered by a gunshot to the back of the head. He was seen disposing of evidence behind an abandoned school. Her body was found a few miles away and he has been on the run ever since.

Extra Notes: This case first aired on the March 20, 1991 episode.
Results: Solved. On the night of the broadcast, DePue was located living in Dallas, Texas under the name Hank Queen. He fled when he saw himself profiled, leading police on a lengthy high-speed chase into Mississippi. After the pursuing officers disabled his van, DePue committed suicide to avoid capture.
