Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the Fall Kill Creek in Hyde Park, NY.  It could be a prettier place if cleaned up. We brought a trash bag and carried out some trash...maybe you can too! Beware of fishing muggles! Went back to double check the coordinates today and they were bouncing all over the place...may pay to look at the hint!

There's a spot to pull over by the side of the road near the gate. Be careful of the traffic. You're looking for a small box with a few trinkets and our brand new travel bug.  We'd love for it to visit all 50 states, so take it with you and send it on it's way!  The cache does contain a pencil, but it never hurts to bring along your own. Please try and put the box back exactly where you found it!

The Fall Kill is a creek in Dutchess County, New York, United States. The creek begins in the towns of Hyde Park and Clinton, flows southward through the town and city of Poughkeepsie, and drains into the Hudson River. The entire Fall Kill is approximately 38 miles (61 km) long, and the southern end of the creek is surrounded by heavy urbanization. In the City of Poughkeepsie, 2.5 miles (4.0 km) of the Fall Kill were channelized by stone walls during the Great Depression. The creek's drainage basin accounts for approximately 12,476 acres (50.49 km2) of the larger Hudson Direct Watershed. As of the 2000 Census, about 28,500 people resided in this area.[1] The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation designates the creek as a Class C stream, meaning it is suitable for fishing. The Fall Kill is also a third order stream by the time it reaches the Hudson River. The northern section of the creek is characterized by marshes and wetlands, harboring several threatened or endangered species
