Welcome to the 3rd Annual Valparaiso Days Challenge

This year we are working on and iconic event. Last year was a success and we want to keep building on that success. We are thankful for those that have attended in the past and hope everyone will come back again this year as it should be a fun challenge.

This year we are we are going to be running a poker run for the challenge. There will be 5 caches that you will need to visit to pick up a card and return to the starting point to see who gets the best hand. There will be trophies for the best hands and also for a youth division. Make sure to sign all of the kids up for a geocaching account to participate in the youth division. There will also be a door prize drawing at the end for all attending. A special thanks to Nebraskache for helping with a sponsorship this year.

At 10:00am we will be doing a Geo101 course for those that are new to geocaching and would like to participate in the competition. We will show you what geocaching is about and help you get ready for the competition.

The competition event will be at 1:00pm until ~ 4:00pm. From 1:00pm to 1:30pm we will be loading GPS and giving out the rules for the competition. The participants will be released at 1:30pm from Harry's Restaurant to start the competition. I would suggest arriving early to get your GPS loaded. BJMcCacher and I will be eating lunch there and available for any questions before the challenge. If anyone would like to join us they are welcome too.
