Geocache Description:


Join Prince Gallitzin State Park & the members of JAGA as they present a fun filled day of geocaching! Caching for Everyone will be from 11 am until 1:30 pm at Muskrat Beach #2.

This event will include a short presentation of Geocaching Basics, a Meet & Greet Picnic, and an opportunity to participate in the 12th Annual World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM XII)!

While at the park, there are many caches to be found including the Ranger Rick Series in the campground and a few very fun water caches!

11 am - 12 pm GEOCACHING BASICS PRESENTATION by the members of JAGA - Held at the Prince Gallitzin State Park, Muskrat Beach #2 Main Pavilion

The material covered in the presentation will be for the benefit of those who are interested in learning what Geocaching is and how to take part in this growing hobby. It's aimed for anyone interested in the hobby/sport and for geocachers who are new to the sport. However, everyone is welcome to attend. Veteran cachers will be encouraged to share their experiences with the group.

This presentation will conclude with an invitation to join a group in searching for a few local caches.

Don't forget to bring a Muggle!

12 pm - 1 pm "Meet a Geocacher" Lunch Picnic

All are welcome to join for a picnic at Muskrat Beach #2 picnic areas. The exact location will be determined the day of, however we will be located to the main pavilion as possible. This is a Bring-Your-Own picnic event. However, sharing and potluck dishes are encouraged.

12 pm - 2:30 pm GPSr Loaner Program

Come borrow one of our GPS units to explore. You must have a valid driver's license or picture ID. GPS Unit loans will end at 2:30 pm. All units must be back by 3:00 pm.

1 pm - 1:30 pm WWFM XII - World Wide Flash Mob 12

Join us for World Wide Flash Mob XII to celebrate and promote interest in Geocaching!

We will meet just below the Muskrat Beach #2 Main Pavilion from 1 pm - 1:30 pm. We will mingle and do our best to attract attention of those around us. At 1:20 pm, we will take a group photo with the lake as our background. At 1:30 pm, the event will end.

These WWFM caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.
