Take Route 67 to the Bennington Battlefield Historic Site in Hoosick, New York. Park 1/3 of the way up the main driveway, looking for the red trail marker on the left hand side.
Step off the road a ways and the forest comes alive in this ancient valley. The steep walls that border the small flowing creek were not built in a day. It took many years for this little trickle of water to be able to wear away the earth and rock. Take a good look around you, because things are always changing and nature especially is never still.
