Geocache Description:

This geocache was created in memory of the long-standing matron of Green Gables, who spent decades restoring this family-home-turned-nursing-home to its former glory. By turning it into a guest house, she opened its doors to neighbours, family, and friends. She gained a keen interest in geocaching through her grandchildren in 2015, and she would have loved to use geocaching to give people smiles and yet another fond memory at Green Gables.

The cache may be difficult to access for children or smaller adults, or people who have difficulty standing.

Built in 1907, this house is situated in a charming downtown neighbourhood surrounded by many green spaces and abundant gardens. A quiet hideaway near the downtown core and Centre In The Square, Green Gables has hosted many visitors over the years. It has a long and interesting history with the local residents - which includes being home to an Ontario premier.

This cache is a nano: look closely!
