Freight Train Blues Traditional Cache

This is a walkway along the train tracks towards the Otumoetai Schools.

I'm not sure if this walkway was here back when I went to school but I know the tunnel was. I remember that tunnel clearly. I think me and my mates just walked on the train tracks.

I decided to place a cache along here because I enjoyed this area as a teenager.

If you park on Ngatai Rd you can walk down either of the two paths and go through the tunnel. Turn left once through and up the steps. You will need to walk another few paces until you get to some steps going down. The cache is hidden in line with the second step down. There is no need to climb any fences or drop down into the trees.

I'm guessing this area would be pretty busy just before and just after school. 

The few times I came here to recon the area, I only met one walker. 

Please watch kids as there is an active railroad track very close by. Also be considerate of the environment. 

Be careful of the cutty grass, I got a bit scratched up hiding it!
