Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a place of respect and history. There is room to pull through the gate and park. The coordinates take you to a historical marker where you can obtain the clues for the final cache location.

While I was hunting for a hiding spot the caretaker came up and talked to me. He said that the cemetery used to be well take care of but the people had passed away and it fell into a run down condition. He has made some improvements and has plan for more. He told me of the civil war vet, a sheriff who was killed by outlaws, and of coarse the murdered Hassel family. The tall tombstone is the sheriff's.

Mr. George J. Hassell married his brother's widow, and the children were hers, this making them nieces and nephews, and also step children.
