< Nakatsugawa-juku >
Nakatsugawa-juku is the 45th of the 69 shukubas (= post stations) of the old Nakasendo Road -- one of the Five Routes of the Edo (Tokugawa) period, and one of the two that connected Edo (= today's Tokyo) to Kyoto.
Nakatsugawa-juku is located in the center of today's Nakatsugawa City, and well keeps some historic heritage.

< Nishi-Otamachi Street >
A good starting point of your walk in Nakatsugawa-juku, Nishi-Otamachi Street is located close to Nakatsugawa's rail station as well as a reasonable parking.
On the street are a nostalgic toy store, a local sweet "Gohei-mochi" restaurant, quality traditional confectioners, and more. Enjoy shopping and tasting.

The cache is hidden somewhere on the street.
It contains only a log sheet. Bring a pen with you.
Attention: There is no pedestrian walkway along the street. Pay much attention to the traffic.
[ Parking Information ]
There is a public parking (free for first 30 min.; open 24 hours) right in front of the rail station, but the multi-storey parking nearby is more reasonable (free for first 2 hrs.; available 24 hrs., but gate closed between 23:00-7:00).

＜西太田町通り＞
中津川駅や市営駐車場からも近い「西太田町通り」から散策を始めましょう。
昔ながらのおもちゃ屋さんやこの地方ではよく見かける五平餅のお店、老舗の和菓子店などが並んでいます。（ちなみにこの辺りの五平餅は、丸いお団子型です。）

キャッシュにはログシートしか入っていません。ペンをご持参ください。
注意： この付近は歩道がありませんので、自動車には十分注意してください。
[ 駐車場 ]
駅前のロータリーにも市営駐車場があります（最初の30分まで無料、24時間営業）が、近くにさらにお値打ちな市営立体駐車場があります（最初の２時間まで無料、24時間営業。ただし、23:00～07:00までは出庫できません）。
