Trestas (tresto bendrovė, angl. trust company) – sutarties pagrindu atsiradusi įmonių grupė.
Tikslai – palengvinti, sumažinti arba eliminuoti konkurenciją, sudaryti dominuojančią grupę, užimti padėtį rinkoje, siekti monopolio, susitarti ir išlaikyti tam tikrą kainų lygį.
Dažnai yra prarandamas teisinis ir ekonominis savarankiškumas. Koordinavimą perima trečiasis asmuo, kuriam patikimas veiklos valdymas, koordinavimas; holdingo bendrovė, jei tokia sudaroma, gali vadovauti tokiai veiklai, tačiau jos veiklos rezultatai nepriklauso jai (pvz., pelnas yra gaunamas tiesiogiai atitinkamų tresto šalių bendrovių).
Trestas kaip ir koncernas siekia panašių tikslų, tik šie siekia jų veiksmingiau, kadangi dukterinės bendrovės nėra savarankiškos, ir yra galimybės kontroliuoti jų veiklą bei nukreipti norima linkme.

Trust Company - the contract on the basis of the resulting group.
Objectives - To facilitate, reduce or eliminate competition, to create a dominant group, to take a position on the market, to achieve a monopoly, and agree to maintain a certain price level.
There is often a loss of legal and economic autonomy. Take over the coordination of a third person, whom reliable performance management, co-ordination; holding company, if any, shall be created to manage such activities, but its performance is not it (eg., the gain is obtained from the respective countries trust companies).
Trust and concern as to targets similar to those just seek their effectiveness because the subsidiary is not independent, and is an opportunity to control their activities and to target the desired direction.
