Geocache Description:

A quick cache I had one on the dash so placed as we passed. Unfortunately there is not too much information about this church but if any one has more I will add it if you send it too me.

This is a very rare example of a complete tin corrugated tabernacle church it is a listed cadw building.

This church is no longer used and has no parishoners. No need to worry about Sunday service.

St Andrew's Mission Church, Wern

Once the invention of galvanising happened in 1828 and corrugated sheets were rapidly becoming available and adopted as building materials. Many corrugated iron buildings were erected in the second half of the 19th century, mostly as temporary buildings. Few now remain and most of those that do are the "tin tabernacles" such as this one near Minera.
