We have been launching our boat here for years before really noticing this parkland area and appreciating these impressive live oaks. This is a terrific place to get photos of the Ravenel Bridge and watch the giant container ships glide by. Bring a lounge chair and enjoy!
SInce this place is primarily used for boat launching, be mindful of parking in one of the single spots and not the pull thru trailer spots. This can be a busy area especially on weekends so be careful of the muggles! Be sure to read both sides of the historical sign to get fully ENLIGHTENED on this areas past. Night caching is not a good idea in this area.
