This cache is located within Wolcott Mill Metropark. A Metroparks permit is required: $7 daily pass, $30 annual pass, $20 seniors. All park rules and regulations apply. Park in parking lots only.
Get a glimpse of rural life at Wolcott Mill Metropark Farm Center. Visit the 250 acre working farm and see live animals including cows, chickens, goats, pigs, sheep, ducks and horses. Wolcott Mill’s Farm is the only public farm where you can see all six heritage dairy breeds of cows. Kids delight at learning where our food comes from as they look at displays and meet the animals throughout the farm. The interpretive staff conducts programs on a wide variety of subjects such as milk, lamb and wood production, soil and water conservation, sustainable agriculture, food processing and modern farming techniques. The farm is open 9 am to 5 pm daily, and the cows are milked at 10 am each day.
Take your time touring the barns and farmhouse. Along the way, you will find the Night Riders 4-H greenhouse project “Beyond the Seed Greenhouse and Gardens”. The greenhouse will be open starting May 9th every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Hanging baskets, vibrant plants, and flats of flowers or vegetables will be available for purchase.
