Alkuin von York reiste im Jahre 781, wenige hundert Meter vom Finale dieses Mystery-Caches entfernt, auf dem Rhein nach Süden. Von Alkuin stammt vermutlich das Rätsel, das für diesen Mystery verwendet wurde. Alcuin of York, travelled southwards on the river Rhine in 781, some hundred metres away from the cache final. The riddle used for this mystery is said to be from Alcuin.

Karl der Große förderte wahrscheinlich das Xantener Stift. Einer seiner berühmtesten Gelehrten, Alkuin von York, reiste im Jahre 781, wenige hundert Meter vom Final dieses Mystery-Caches entfernt, auf dem Rhein nach Süden. Von Alkuin stammt vermutlich ein Rätsel, das er auch dem an Bildung brennend interessierten Karl vorgelegt haben könnte. Alkuins Rätsel lautet so: Alternativtext

X ist die Zahl der Männer, Y die der Frauen, Z die der Kinder. Das Ziel ist bei N 51° 42.(Y-X)(5xZ+7) und E 006° 2Y.0(6xZ+3). Hier handelt es sich um ein Naturschutzgebiet, die offiziellen Wege müssen zu keiner Zeit verlassen werden. --- Charlemagne probably supported the monastery of Xanten. X is the amount of men, Y the one of women, and Z the one of children. The cache is hidden at N 51° 42.(Y-X)(5xZ+7) and E 006° 2Y.0(6xZ+3). The cache is located in a nature protection area and the official roads must not be leaved at any time.
