Geocache Description:

Hi everyone, and happy 15 years of geocaching. While the event date has nothing really to do with the 15th Anniversary which actually happened on May 2nd & 3rd, it does correspond with one of the release dates for the 5 special souvenirs that are launching throughout the summer months from Jun 19th to Sept 2nd as part of the celebrations.

On July 3rd the mission for the 2nd souvenir opens up, and this one asks us to attend an Event, Mega-Event or Giga-Event. Since it is highly unlikely that we will be getting any Megas or Gigas in our area, lets have an Event.

This event is being held at Queen's Park in Oak Bay. This lovely little green space has a wonderful view of the Oak Bay Marina, Picnic Tables, and lots of shade. Dogs are permitted in this park as long as they are on a leash, and it is somewhat wheelchair accessible. And I should also mention there is tons of free parking on the street and at the nearby Oak Bay Marina.

And make sure you bring your trackables!

The event will be 1 hour long from 10:00am to 11:00am on July 4th, 2015 so that you can get home or get on with anything else you plan to do that day.
