This cache has been archived.

Cache_Chameleon: If a cache is not going to be replaced, the listing should be archived rather than just temporarily disabled. The cache owner's previous note makes it clear that they do not intend to replace this cache, therefore I am now archiving the listing.

Geocache Description:

The Wisteria Pergola features century-old wisteria vines attached to a wooden shelter that is reminiscent of the original that was designed by Calvert Vaux. It was created as a cool refuge from summer sun, and as an overlook to the music concerts below at the original Bandstand. The Naumburg Bandshell was built in 1923 to replace the earlier cast iron bandstand, and the pergola became an unslightly and forgotten area. It was restored by the Conservancy in 1986.

There is a very nice sign embeded into a rock to thank the kind citizen that donated the funds to restore the Pergola. Such a nice quiet spot to sit and relax away from the hustle of the city.

You won't be shocked to discover that the entire container can be removed from its hiding place (it may take a little bit of strength!). But please be careful when replacing it as little fingers could get pinched. Also, please replace the container exactly as found. It will look out of place otherwise. Please bring your own pen/pencil to sign the log

Caution: This is a high muggle area and there may be someone looking when you think there is no-one around. Please replace the cache in exactly the same position or it will certainly look out of place and draw muggle attention.

[UPDATE - May 12th, 2015] After only being live less than two weeks, this cache was recently seriously muggled and the super cool inner container and all the contents were missing (Thank goodness there were no travel bugs inside). Thanks to a concerned cacher, they put it back together the best they could and alerted me. The good news is: I replaced all the bits and it is back up to find! The bad news is: It is a VERY high muggle area and sometimes we get anxious and make a grab without caution. But you will know when you see this container, that you have to be a geocacher to know it is there, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be extra careful when making this grab, please put it back EXACTLY in the position that you found it, and if there are too many muggles, please come back later or use your invisibility cloak!!! Thank you and enjoy!
