Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed on 2nd May, 2015, to commemorate 15 YEARS of GEOCACHING in the UAE.

A bit of history:

The Habb, GC5120, a traditional cache was the first cache in UAE , placed on 20/04/2002 by atorrigi. The name Habb means seed in Arabic, and as the CO said in the description - "This geocache is the seed to help geocaching get started in the United Arab Emirates". Thats exactly what it did. Today, as geocaching celeberates its 15th birthday, there are 667 active caches in UAE. Big thank you to atorrigi from the geocaching community in UAE. The archive log on this cache is done by Jeremy Irish, the founder of Geocaching.com!

One of the cachers that found The Habb is still a active cacher in Dubai! Hello Lucky Stars! You are hereby declared as the guardian of Geocaching in UAE.

Oldest active cache in UAE is Jebel Hafit, GCA3E8, by Lunchbox. Thanks Lunchbox, hope your cache stays here for years to come.

Lunchbox, Lucky Stars and atorrigi continue to be active cachers.
