Geocache Description:

This new sign is in the process of being finished and when it does it should look pretty awesome, at the stage this cache was hidden the wheat stalks are in place with its lighting but the wires are yet to be hooked up, cache should be nice and safe while they finish it so please replace as found.

We all love a great slice of bread, but seldom think about where it comes from. Here are five fun facts about wheat that you can think about the next time you’re waiting for your toast to pop.

1. In Canada, it is suggested that wheat was first grown as early as 1605 at Port-Royal.

2. One bushel of wheat contains approximately one million individual kernels, weighs approximately 60 pounds and yields approximately 42 pounds of white flour OR 60 pounds of whole-wheat flour.

3. A bushel of wheat (36.74 tonne) yields 42 one-and-a-half pound (680 grams) commercial loaves of white bread OR about 90 one-pound (454 grams) loaves of whole wheat bread.

4. Never refrigerate any bread product. Bread products go stale up to six times faster in the refrigerator. Leave these products at room temperature or freeze them.

5. Goods made from wheat that aren't food include straw particle board (wood) used in kitchen cabinets, paper, hair conditioners, adhesives on postage stamps, medical swabs,
