Fraser National Park

Wallaby Bay Walk Track is a 9.7 km track that leads to the highly regarded Stone's Outstation, a small timber hut built on land selected by the pioneer Stone Family. Today the Stone's Outstation serves as a reminder of their way of life. It is located around 100 metres above the high water mark in Aird Inlet, Stone Bay' Lake Eildon National Park.

Access to Stone's Outstation is via a 9.7 km walk along Wallaby Bay Walk Track. This walk commences at Wallaby Bay carpark in Coller Bay and continues out of Coller Bay, past Point Cook, into Stone Bay, past School Point and on to Aird Inlet and Station Creek. The walking track is in reasonable condition for most of the way, however it can be very slippery in parts when wet.

Camping is permitted at Mountaineer Creek Camping Area, located a further 2 km walk from the hut towards Mountaineer Inlet.

Always be aware of snakes and spiders in the bush and take care when on or near roads. Children should always be supervised near water. Always let someone know of your travel plans, and take food and water with you when walking long distances.
