Matthew Henson was the first African American Arctic Explorer, which kind of makes him like a geocacher in the winter climates here. The park named after him is a greenway along the Turkey Branch of Rock Creek. The park runs from Aspen Hill to Layhill, Maryland, connecting to the Rock Creek Trail.
This cache is right in line with my other Extra Matthew Henson cache: Logged. You can either A: Get this one while finishing up the trail or B: Drive right up to this one to make it a C&D. Cache is in the woods just off the road of a neighborhood. Cache uses its surroundings to blend in to the environment. Please remember to hide as well or better than when you found it to give other cachers the same experience!
