Kerplunk.... Bordertown Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

brisal5: Oh dear this is far more dire straits than I imagined.
I was able to get the container out to find no straws were in it and only five remained on the ground nearby. There were only eight of the original ten balls left.
Of the eight left 6 were broken and contained no information any longer!
Of the two that were in tact one was empty and the other DID not contain the coordinates for the actual cache across the road. How has anybody managed to actually find this?
This will need more of a rebuild than I brought from home!

It also seems this is the dumping ground for garbage by others!

In view of this I have decided to archive this cache at this location. Thank you to all that came and had fun with it. Hopefully Kerplunk 2.0 will last a bit longer but will be in a different location to this one.

Both game and cache have been removed from these sites.

Geocache Description:

A simple two stage multi based on the game kerplunk.

Please only attempt if you have at least 5 minutes to reassemble the cache ready for next finder.

KerPlunk is a children's game first marketed by the Ideal Toy Company in 1967. The game consists of a transparent plastic tube, plastic rods called straws and several dozen marbles. The base contains four separate numbered trays and the straws are passed through holes in the middle of the tube to form a lattice. The marbles are then placed in the top of the tube and held in place by the lattice. The onomatopoeic name of the game derives from the sound of the marbles tumbling to the base of the tube during play.

There are no small parts so is suitable for all ages.

We hope you enjoy playing as much as we did putting together.
