The WWFM is a special short event happening (relatively) simultaneously around the globe!

We are doing a Paper Airplanes flying contest.
So get your designs out of the drawer and start folding or alternatively see these two links (The Hammer) ;
(The Professional) for a couple of Paper Airplane plans to give you some inspiration.
We recommend to fold your Paper Airplanes at home and bring them along. You can bring as many Paper Airplanes as you can carry, but remember each plane can only fly once and we have 5 min per challenge.
Make sure you clearly mark your Geocaching Name on the Paper Airplanes for prices.
We will have a table with some paper, folding instructions and markers on site for anybody that still has to fold a plane.
Schedule of Events:
10:30 - 10:55 am
Arrive at the event site, sign the log book, fold a Paper Airplane(s) if you did not bring your own from home and mingle around until event time.
11:00 am
At the posted coordinates we will make a group photo before getting started.
11:05 am
We fly our Paper Airplanes for the first time. The goal is to hit the target. Please stand behind the markings and let your Paper Airplanes fly.
Prices will be awarded to those Paper Airplanes that land inside the target.
11:10 am
We fly again. This time the goal is to see who has the furthest flight. Everyone stand behind the next markings and let your Paper Airplanes fly.
The furthest flying Paper Airplane will win a coveted WWFM Geocoin.
11:15 - 11:30 am
We announce the winners, hand out the prices and it is CITO time. With other words we collect all our Paper Airplanes. We will have a bag along for recycling.
As we all know the weather in Calgary can keep us on our toes and keep us surprised. If the weather is not co-operating with our planned event we will come up with a short notice plan. We will keep you posted if this should be the case.
