Welcome to Melbourne!
This cache has been placed to celebrate The Melbourne Event 2015 (GC5GCJ8), which at the time of placing is promising to be the largest gathering of geocachers in Victoria.

For your information, to the left is a picture of where the geocache is placed. This is an historic old bridge that was built over 140 years ago. Although rarely used anymore there is no need to pull the thing apart to find the geocache. The cache is placed near the base of the bridge, about 1 meter up. There are two ways down to the geocache, an easy one and a hard one. The easy way is to get down to the creek bed close to the nearby new bridge. The hard way should be pretty obvious when you're at GZ.
Please be aware, that after heavy rains, the "easy" option may not be available and so the harder option may be required. If this is the case then read it as a T4. For 95% of the year though, this can be a T2, unless you want to do it the hard way.

LOGGING ETIQUETTE
To place this cache I purchased the cache container, the log book and all the swaps. I also purchased the paint that was used. I spent my own time preparing the container and painting it. I spent time researching a good place to place the cache. I placed the container thoughtfully and carefully. I then spent further time writing up this cache page before submitting it for publication. Hopefully, you can appreciate the time, money and effort that has been spent to place not just this cache, but all caches. Not to mention the possible time money and effort that the goes into the constant maintenance of these caches for you to find. With that in mind, if you are considering finding this cache, all that I will receive from you is your log. Whilst I will never delete any legitimate log, please consider whether a “Found It” or a “TFTC” log is appropriate return for the amount of effort that is spent in getting this little container out in this spot for you to find. |
