This is a wooded area between the transitway at Iris Station and the back side of houses that line the eastern side of Parkway Road. To acess the GeoCache enter the woods by way of the Hydro access lane which runs along the fence at the back of the houses. This will put you on the west side of Pinecrest Creek. These woods are the pride of the residents who live in the area, Please respect them and keep them clean. Many residences also compost yard waste in the woods, so please be respectful of these areas as you come near them. Also these woods contain birch trees. We remind you to please not remove it's bark. You may find some logs on the ground where you can get some birch bark if you must, We would prefer if you left it in the habitat in which this geocache is located.
Some of the terrain is fairly steep, particularly as you approach Pinecrest Creek. Recommend you wear light hiking footware to help prevent personal injury. As the cache is a replacement and much smaller you will need to bring your own pen.
