TT PT # 23 Studio Shack Traditional Cache

This cache is a part of the Tom Thomson PT.  Its is accessible by foot, bike, snowmobile and by car. It is along an unmaintained road use at own risk. Bring a pen! Happy Hunting!!

Tom Thomson as you are probably now well aware travelled quite a bit.  Spending springs and falls in Mowat and his summers out and about in the park.  In the winter Tom would return to Toronto where he worked in a shack. This shack was his winter studio.  The shack has been preserved and was moved form its Toronto location to the McMicheal Canadian Art Collection gallery north of Toronto.  They rebuilt the cabin and nestled it into the pine trees across from the cemetary where members of the Group of Seven are buried.
