The shopping center this cache is located at is Fayetteville's first shopping center complex. Construction started in 1948 and was completed on Nov. 8, 1955, opening with 12 stores. It has expanded over the years, including the addition of the mini-mall area in 1970. Although it is no longer the retail center it once was, there are still some thriving small businesses and larger retailers operating here.
