Geocache Description:

Medium lock’n’lock container. No need to go into the Girl Guides of Canada camp. Parking is on the side of the road. Be careful for traffic and weather conditions. CITO in the area encouraged at all times.

The Girl Guides of Canada (GGC)was founded in 1910, with a commitment  to providing girls and young women opportunities to have fun adventures, learn new things, give service within their communities and build leadership skills. In 1949, GGC began to acquire camp properties in response to the girls’ enthusiasm towards camping.

TRHAC is one of Ontario’s 17 Girl Guide Camps. Just 20 minutes west of Barrie, in the Nottawasaga Valley, TRHAC is situated on over 67 beautiful acres of rolling hills. Local birds and animals reside within the property’s hardwood and evergreen forests, large (no swim/ noboat) pond, Coates Creek, wetland,  and a ravine. There are nature trails through the forest.

Brownies is the branch of Guiding dedicated to girls in Grades 1 and 2. The Brownie Law is, “As a Brownie I am honest and kind; I help take care of the world around me”. This cache is dedicated to the ideas of leadership, outdoor learning, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math skills), the Brownie Law, and a love for swaps. CITO is encouraged.
