RIVER STOUR PADDLE - FULLING PIT WEIR Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BIGBADJOHN1402: Archiving most of my caches due to the new breed of cacher who obviously does not appreciate the money & work that goes in to being an owner.

If you wish to go seeking a cache essential items are a pen (to sign log) , tissue (to dry a wet container), spare logs (to replace if required).

Geocachings loss is Munzee's gain :-)

Geocache Description:

'RIVER STOUR PADDLE - FULLING PIT WEIR'

This is one of a series of caches along The River Stour
but to get to the caches you will need to have a flotational device.

They were all set using an inflatable kayak, some of them will be easy to retrieve from a rigid kayak/canoe.... some others may not be!

There is parking and easy kayak portage at Sudbury Croft. - See Parking & Portage waypoint.

These are the first 3 caches in the series and run from Brundon Mill to The Croft in Sudbury which has portage and parking both ends and is approx. 1 mile from both waypoints.

This cache requires you to reach up and in a prickly tree so a companion to steady your boat would be helpful and be carefull with Inflatables!!

I have rated this a Difficulty 2 as it is a 100ml container in plain sight but with thorns and a Terrain 5 as you will need to balance standing in a boat to reach the cache while avoiding getting spiked.
This cache is a cache in a cache to protect from getting wet please do not drop it!!!

*Please note* You attempt this cache at your own risk

Have fun and happy paddling
