Small plastic container located south of the main road along the KVR/Trans Canada Trail.
In the length of the Okanagan River from Vaseux Lake to Osoyoos Lake (37km) there are numerous drop structures built to assist with the river flow. One of these drop structures is located at this location. In the late summer/early fall this is a great location to view the Sockeye Salmon that have made the trip up the Columbia River and then into the Okanagan River from the Pacific Ocean to get to their spawning grounds.
Because of the amount of agricultural runoff that goes into the Okanagan River, in 2003 it was named the 3rd most endangered river in Canada.
