This is a Puzzle or Mystery Cache, the posted coordinates will NOT take you to the final geocache. In order to log this cache you will need to visit the virtual stages and gather the information needed to solve for the location of the final cache. ABOUT THE AREA
Welcome to the FFAFRA , Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area! This Property belongs to the USAF and is used as a vacation spot for military personnel and their families, in addition to being used as a National Guard Training Facility. Though the public are welcome to visit, you must be Active or Retired Military to rent and use the facilities here. Please be respectful of the property and park in the designated areas while you are a guest here geocaching!
PLEASE NOTE: This geocache is only permitted during daylight hours and will not be available during the Seafood, Blues, and Jazz Festival without a ticket.
ABOUT THE MYSTERY CACHE
This area has a lot of traffic at times so PLEASE USE STEALTH while visiting all stages of this Geocache. At the posted coordinates you will find space to park a car or two, but if this is not possible, please use either of the two waypointed parking coords provided.
To locate the mystery cache you must visit each of the waypoints and solve for the coordinates of the final geocache. You will be visiting the area in front of the North Carolina Military History Museum and gathering information from the Military Vehicles on display. Please take the time to visit the museum if it is open.
Visit "Virtual Stage (A)" to solve for "A".
Visit "Virtual Stage (B)" to solve for "B".
"C" and "D" are general questions about the area you are exploring.
Visit "Virtual Stage (E)" to solve for "E".
Visit "Virtual Stage (F)" to solve for "F".
Each one of these virtual stages will put you in close proximity to a specific piece of Military machinery so be sure you are zero-d in on the correct location before answering the associated question.
(A) = Standing at this location, how many mesh holes do you see along the side of the vehicle?
(B) = Standing at this location, face this vehicle, you will see a name followed by a three digit number. The last digit of this number = B.
(C) = Count the total number of aircraft on display here in front of the museum = C.
(D) = B / C
(E) = Standing in this location you will see a small plaque which tells the caliber of the machine before you. The first digit of that number = E.
(F) = Standing at this location you will see a door on this vehicle which bears a three digit number. The FIRST digit of this number = F.
