Cadel Evans was born at Katherine Northern Territory.
Cadel is a former Australian Professional Racing Cylist and winer of nthe 2011 Tour de France.
Early in his career he was a champion mountain biker winningthe World Cup in 1998 and 1999.
Cadel turned full time road cyling in 2001.
He finished 2nd in the 2007 and 2008 Tour de France.
Cadel retired on 1st February 2015 after completing a race named in his honour.
