How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This woodsy area near the stream and waterfall is an ideal habitat for box turtles.  Box turtles enjoy a habitat that has lots of leaf matter or loose rocks to hide under and where they can find insects to eat.  If you don’t come across a box turtle while searching for this cache, plan to stop by the Emma Treadwell Thacher Nature Center to see a live one.  You may need really small fingers or tweezers to get the log from this micro.  Please re-hide as found.  Remember it’s all in the name.
