Located in the area of the Wolverine Stamp Mill. The mill opened in the 1890's. A wooden structure with only one stamp head and limited water, it did not last. The Wolverine company first started sending its ore to the Allouez mill to the north of Ahmeek and then to its new mill on lake Superior. As a 100+ year old abandoned wooden structure nothing remains but the sand.
