“Tucked into the lush green valley of central Guam is the Lonfit River whose cool waters descend hidden waterfalls. A maze of geological rock formations is also encountered along the river.” – Dave and Bev Lotz. The Lonfit Swimming Hole is truly a hidden gem. Although you may choose your own way to this location I’m willing to bet you will encounter lots of plant life, interesting rock formations and large blue shrimp. This cool clean pool will be your reward for this adventurous journey. Along the way you may find various small pools, but nothing quite like the pool where this cache is located. You’ll also find a rope to swing into the water with! I hope you enjoy the journey and location as much as we did!
Difficulty and terrain were rated using Groundspeak’s online rating survey. This hike will be over 2 miles long over some places without a marked trail, heavy overgrowth, through water and severe elevation changes. Please take care to keep the inside of the cache dry and return it where you found it. I recommend a waterproof bag for towels!
The cache is a Pelican 1010 watertight micro case (6” x 4” x 2”).
FTF gets an unactivated ROT13 Decoder Geocoin and, because aviation is close to my heart, an APR Pilot’s Key Chain Computer. Good luck!
Congrats to McJyvan & ColorfulCumulus for FTF!!!
