Edgewater Park

Edgewater Park is a 54 acre park located along the river in West Mount Vernon. It features several ball fields, a boat ramp, playground, picnic areas, and a performance stage.

It is home to the Fantastic 4th of July celebration, the Highland Games, the Shakespeare Festival, multiple sports tournaments, and every day park relaxation. The north side of W Division is referred to as North Edgewater. It is commonly used as parking for the larger events. It connects to Edgewater with a nice trail sytem that goes under the West Division Bridge. North Edgewater has trails that lead to the river edge and sand bar. It is a popular spot for fishing and enjoying the beach.

Edgewater Park is also an example of reclaimed lands. Formerly a landfill area, in the late 60's, it was cleaned out and converted into a park. 5.4 million cubic yards of material was removed during the restoration project.

Like most of our park caches, this will take some stealth. We call this hiding in plain sight.
