Geocache Description:

This is a 4-stage multi-cache. The first 3 stages are virtual. Only the final stage has a physical container.

You will need to visit three East Memphis sites, connected to Memphis music legends, to gather the information needed to obtain the ACTUAL cache coordinates.

Stage #1 is located at N 35º 06.414 W 089º 52.381. Sometimes GPS reception here is a little erratic. You are looking for a mausoleum vault, NOT a bench.

Here you can find:

D= subtract the birth year from the death year. The last digit is D.

I= The result of subtracting the last digit of the birth year from the last digit of the death year.

J= The result of subtracting the 1st digit of the birth year from the 1st digit of the death year.

Stage #2 is located at N 35º 06.518 W 089º 52.447.

Be aware that several musicians are buried in this area. You are looking for the most famous one with a large flat-on-the-ground (as opposed to upright) marker

Here you can find:

B= Number of letters in wife's first name (NOT the name in between the quotation marks).

C= The result of subtracting 1st digit of birth year from 1st digit of death year.

F= Number of letters in first name.

Stage #3 is located at N 35º 06.206 W 089º 55.211.

Here you can find:

A= 2nd digit of the day of the month in which the move-in was made.

E= Subtract the address from the move-in year. The last digit is E.

G= Number of letters in the surname for whom the foundation was named.

H= 2nd digit of address.

The final (i.e. physical) cache is located at: N 35º AB.CDE W 089º FG.HIJ.

The final cache is a medium sized container in a residential neighborhood. Please note that it is NOT necessary to enter private property to access the cache. Please do not do so. The process of opening & closing the cache container is a little unusual (but not at all complicated). Just be sure that it is closed securely when you leave.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
