Geocache Description:

This is the second in a set of three traditional caches on a bush walk west of Colo Vale and north of Mittagong.  I estimate the trip to take about two hours return.  Most of the distance covered is on a fire trail, but there is some off-trail scrub walking and a couple of easy rocky descents if you decide to get the furthest of the three caches.  Remember to take the usual precautions for bushwalking and bring plenty of water.

I recommend doing all three in order: Verdant Valleys, The Crags, Dragon Head Rock.

So, if you come here from the nearby cache "Verdant Valleys", it's a fairly easy scrub walk of 220M or so.  There are remains of a trail and you may see the occasional yellow marker but in most places the trail is not clear.  However the scrub isn't very thick so it's easy going.  At GZ you will get great views off to the west.  Be aware there are unfenced cliffs near GZ.

The name "The Crags" is a source of some confusion.  There is a property nearby which has that name, but I have also seen the name used to describe the cliffs you can see across the valley at GZ.  My phone was saying our location was "The Crags" all the way along the ridge towards this cache so maybe the rock outcrop here is "The Crags" instead.  Looking online didn't offer much info.

You are looking for a 1L sistema.  There was a pen at time of placement but you should probably bring one anyway.  Please use the smaller rocks to hide the container from casual view.
