OTOME gauging station
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism is monitoring flow rate and the elevation of the water surface of many rivers as "gauging station" in Japan.
This gauging station is monitoring Omoi-gawa(Omoi river) every 10 minutes.

On the other hand, here was "OTOME KASHI"(OTOME riverside) from 13th century to 1950s.
Many goods were moved between OTOME and Edo(Tokyo) by way of Omoi-Watarase-Tone-Edo rivers.
There is a parking, a restroom, benches.
The cache has volume of 60mL, but doesn't have a pen. Please bring your pen.
CAUTION: After or when the heavy rain, thunderstorm and typhoon, maybe the elevation of the water surface will be very high. Please take care.

ここでは、国土交通省によって思川（おもいがわ）の流量・水位が測定されwebで公開されています。また、10分に一度ここに設置されたカメラによって思川の状況も確認することができます。

最近、近くに戦国時代から昭和20年代まで使われていた乙女河岸の記念碑が設置され、駐車場・東屋（ベンチ、テーブル）・トイレが設置されました。この河岸から思川・渡良瀬川・利根川・江戸川を経由して江戸・東京との物資のやりとりがなされていました。日光東照宮の建設資材は江戸からこの河岸まで船で運ばれ、日光まで陸送されたといわれています。
キャッシュは約60mLの角形コンテナです。
ペンがありませんので、ご持参ください。
大雨・台風・雷雨時またはその後は川の水位が上がっていることがあります。周囲の状況に十分ご注意ください。
