Geocache Description:

A short 30 minute event to celebrate and promote geocaching in Queensland. This years theme is WATER :).

WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs – A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world.
Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering at the same time.

Sonny and Sandy of the PodCacher podcast came up with the WWFM idea in 2007 after attending a mega-event. It was meant to be a fun “opposite” of a mega-event: all the cool aspects of a geocaching event, crammed into 15 minutes of excitement. An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW" - World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day at (mostly) the same time! These caching events are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

12:50: We meet at the Strand Water Park. Please disperse around the water park /Strand area and try to act as touristy as possible.

13:00: The Flash Mob starts. Seemingly out of nowhere we will get together and will bomb each other with water and get REALLY REALLY WET. SO BRING EVERYTHING you have that can hold water, aka water bombs, water pistols, buckets etc. Anything goes as long as it is not a safety issue or leads to injury.

13.15: End of Flash Mob. We will get together in front of the Strand Park and we will bring for each letter of the event name and GC Code a A4 size paper with a letter written on. We will ask everyone to stand in one row and hold one piece of paper so it will be readable for the mandatory group photo of the event.

Important: Please write in the "Will attend" section how many people of each team are coming along as Groundspeak wants to know how many people attend each event for statistics. Last year (2014) it was more than 27.000 people worldwide!.

Also please wear something which you don't mind getting wet.
