Why not try this Geocache with the kids after the play park? Take the Rivelin Nature Trail from the Cafe & play park area to start on your search for this one.

This is currently a placeholder as original was destroyed (thanks whoever did that). I’ve moved it again slightly to hide it but it’s in the same general location. I’ll get something back in place that’s more decorative as soon as I reasonably can. Until then I have left this placeholder with an amusing image to enjoy £& a fresh log. Ok: Get thee to the very Tolkien-eske bridge at Roscoe Bank where the old water wheel was and cross that bridge to then turn back on yourself on the other path:

Once on the return path you will soon reach some small steps upwards - go up them and carry on along the path (the river is now to your right). Then you will come to a disused and silted up small pond on your left. You are now on your own! Search for the Lady of The House and find her resting place! Take care if you find her - you will not yet know what mood she is in! Only you can change things if you do locate her.......! Take the kids and a small toy to swap if you wish - she is a Mummy herself after all so she won't mind! ;-)  Make sure you lay her back to rest (did you change her smile? - yes - you can do this using the write & wipe pen provided!) - she does like her sleep as she relaxes to the sound of nearby water.....
