This is a cache being placed on the I-275 Bike Trail just south of Eight Mile to fill in some space where some other caches were archived. As with other caches, I am naming them after bicycle manufacturers. This cache is named after Wanderer.Wanderer was a German manufacturer of bicycles, motorcycles, automobiles, vans and other machinery. It was originally established as Winklhofer & Jaenicke in 1896. The company used the Wanderer brand name from 1911 for overseas exports and then adopted it for domestic sales.
This is intended to be a Ride & Grab cache. The cache container is a small camo painted bison tube. You will need a log extractor. Please bring your own pencil or pen.
I have found that a quick and simple log extraction tool can be made from a small paperclip. Straighten one end out. Grab just a small portion (maybe 1/32 of an inch or 1 millimeter) with a long-nose or needle-nose pliers then bend it at a right angle. I have attached one to the cache you can use. Please leave it for the next person.
