Geocache Description:

Sometime in the distant past, a logger, most likely, discarded this delightful steel drum with a solid copper spigot attached. We now use this example of industrial age hardware to mark an important junction on the trail system of the Bridal Veil Plateau. Find the copper spigot and you will find the cache.

This is an area not graced by many direction signs so have a good GPS and good wilderness skills. The hike is not long, but the many unsigned junctions have gotten quite a few folks lost over the years. The trails get crowded in the spring with new plant growth so long pants and gloves are a help. Also, the map on geocaching.com is not complete and has some errors so though it is mostly good, be aware.

Shortest way to this cache is to park at the Jersey barriers on Palmer Mill Road and head up. In about 80 yards or so, take a left and follow the trail up hill.

There has been some trail alignment recently, so this is a little off-trail so some bushwhacking skills desirable.

This is a plastic 20mm ammo box. Use the map in the gallery. It shows all the currently maintained trails in the area
