Geocache Description:

The descriptions for these caches follows the Way west from Drumoak to Banchory. However, it can be done in either direction.

The A93 is a busy highway. Co-ordinates are given for free safe parking.

The Deeside Way largely follows the route of the Old Royal Deeside Railway from Aberdeen to Ballater. The path is suitable for walkers and cyclists with many sections suitable for horses as well. The majority of the route is suitable for child buggies and wheelchairs can access to within a few metres of most caches. Further details on the Deeside Way can be found at www.deesideway.org The route is waymarked using the following logo -

Drumoak has evolved over the centuries from a small settlement around the holy well and church of St Malik (further towards the river and the old ford at Dalmaik) into the present large commuter village. Park takes its name from Park House, and we are grateful to the Estate for its co-operation with these caches.
