Denne cache er en del af den længste “multi” cache i region Syddanmark. Serien havde oprindelig til formål at sætte fokus på danmarkskortet efter kommunalreformen i 2007. Der er cacher i alle 98 kommuner og de 5 regioner. For at finde en regions cache, skal du først finde alle kommunecacher i den region. Koordinaterne til regionscachen er placeret forrest i logbogen. Denne cache er nr. 2 i Esbjerg Kommune, da den tidligere cache er lukket.

This cache is part of the longest "multi" cache in the region of Southern Denmark. The trail was originally made with the purpose to set focus on the map off Denmark after the new local government in 2007. There are caches in all 98 municipalities and 5 regions. To find a region cache you have to locate all municipalities’s in the same region. Coordinates for the region cache is placed at the first page of the logbook. This cache is no. 2 in Esbjerg municipality as the previous cache is closed.

Kongeåstien

Gå en tur langs Kongeåen og rør ved en dramatisk del af Danmarks historie. Fra 1864 til 1920 udgjorde Kongeåen øst for Villebøl landegrænse mellem Danmark og Tyskland, men hele Kongeåen har i mange hunderede år været en grænse for folk nord og syd for åen. Allerede fra 1200-tallet som grænse mod hertugdømmerne mod syd, siden som toldgrænse mellem Danmark og Slesvig (1500-tallet – 1850).

Følg den afmærkede trampesti, lyt til fuglene, se det rige planteliv, dvæl ved landskabet og nyd roen i den fredede ådal. Se landskabet skifte, når åen løber gennem marsken ud i Nationalpark Vadehavet ved Kongeåslusen. Giv dig tid til at høre eller læse utrolige historier om skæbner og om livet på begge sider af Kongeåen gennem mange generationer.

Kongeåstien er 67 kilometer lang og kan nydes i bidder. Undervejs er der 6 shelter pladser og 2 campingpladser. På startkoordinatet er blandt andet 2 shelters, toilet, fri WIFI og bord-bænke sæt.

 Take a walk along the Kongeå and touch a dramatic part of the history of Denmark. From 1864 to 1920 the Kongeå east of Villebøl marked the border between Denmark and Germany, but all the Kongeå has for many hundred years been a border for people north and south of the creak. Already from the 1200s as a frontier against the duchies of the south, and since the customs border between Denmark and Schleswig (1500 - 1850).

Follow the walking trail, listen to the birds, see the rich plant life, dwell in the countryside and enjoy the serenity of the protected valley. See the landscape change when the river runs through the marsh into the Wadden Sea National Park at the Kongeåsluse. Take time to read or hear incredible stories about the fates and about life on both sides of the Kongeå through many generations.

The Kongeå trail is 67 kilometers long and can be enjoyed in chunks. Along the trail there are six shelter seats and two campgrounds. On the starting coordinates you find two shelters, toilet, free WIFI and table-bench set.
