Peti cache iz serije o retencijama nalazi se na na putu prema Markuševcu.
Kao i ostale retencije na Medvednici, i ova je izgrađena s ciljem zaštite grada od poplava, koje su znale nastajati uslijed obilih kiša. Sveukupno ih je na području Medvednice trebalo biti izgrađeno 40-ak, no međutim izgrađeno ih je oko dvadeset.
Retencija regulira vodni režim vodotoka, na način da u jednom kraćem vremenskom intervalu zadrži vodenu masu i kontrolirano je ispušta u kanalizacijski sustav, kako ga ne bi preopteretila.
U neposrednoj blizini ove retencije nalazi se jedan od ulaza u Park-šumu Dotršćina. Mjesto je zaista fantastično za šetnju, a ima i par pozicija zgodnih za uvježbavanje mountain – bike tehnike. Svakako prošećite, ukoliko imate vremena.

This is a fifth cache from the Retention series.
On the southern and western side of Medvednica you can find approx. 50 creeks and streams of different sizes. After the big flooding of Maksimir and Dubrava in 1990 (Zagreb town areas) that was caused by heavy rain, city authorities started with a program of flood protection. Therefore numerous levees are built on lower Sljeme area in order to slower water rush from the hills, during rainy period (plan was to built 40, but 20 built up until now).
In a close proximity of the GZ there is one of the entrances to the Park forest of Dotrščina. Unpaved road through the Dotrščina starts at the very end of the retention levee. Place is really great for hiking or mountain biking. Take that walk after you grab the cache it's worth it.
