Outside PNC Park are statues of some famous Pirates players.
Start by looking for the statue of Honus Wagner. Wagner played for the Pirates from 1900-1917, mostly as a shortstop, then returned as a coach for 39 years. He was one of the first inductees into the baseball hall of fame, and his T206 series baseball card is usually regarded as the most valuable one in existence. Record a waypoint on your GPSr at the statue.
Now find the location where the photographer was standing when they took this photo:
Find the compass bearing from the photographer's location to the Honus Wagner statue. Call that "A".
Next, find the statue of Bill Mazeroski. Mazeroski played for the Pirates from 1956-72, and was elected to the hall of fame in 2001. He is noted for having hit a home run in game 7 to win the 1960 World Series. Right behind the statue is a prominently displayed number. Call that "B".
Finally, find the statue of Roberto Clemente. Clemente played right field for the Pirates from 1955-72. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 1973 (the first player from Latin America to receive that honor), following his death in a plane crash while delivering aid to earthquake survivors in Nicaragua. Use your GPSr to record a waypoint at the statue.
Now you're ready to find the final cache! The final is B feet away from the Clemente statue, and the compass bearing from the final to Clemente is A.
Use extreme stealth while searching for this cache during baseball season. If there's a game going on, there will be big crowds around the cache location.
