Geocache Description:

The Midtown Mural Geocache was hidden to honor the cool new mural on the side of the Cross Roads Shopping Center.  This particular mural depicts a street scene of shops of a bygone era.  If you look around the Cross Roads Shopping Center you will find the modern day versions of the mural’s shops!  This is a traditional cache (ammo box) and a pretty easy find.  There is a selection of SWAG to trade.  I hope you enjoy the art & the find!

Richmond has become well known for its public art in the past few years. With events like the G40 Art Summit, the Richmond Mural Project, and the RVA Street Festival, more and more murals are adorning the buildings of downtown Richmond. This particular mural was completed in the fall of 2014 by local artists, Sir James Thornhill, and Michon Pittman. It depicts a street scene of shops of a bygone era, and includes a billboard that encourages the community to shop local.

This is a traditional cache (ammo box) and a pretty easy find.  There is a selection of SWAG to trade.

I hope you enjoy the art & the find!
