Waterford Beach View Traditional Cache

This geocache is located in the crown jewel of the Waterford, CT. parks system, Waterford Beach Park. The park has over 1200' of beachfront on Long Island Sound. It is a unique natural environment with sand dunes, salt marsh, forest and grass attributes. The park has ocean swimming in season with hiking, tennis, volleyball, and picnic areas. Restrooms (seasonal) and parking are located onsite.

The location is in a wooded area, with a slight rise in elevation. You can start anywhere in the park. Please note that the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center is located within the park. The park is open year round, and a parking fee is required if you do not have a beach pass from Mid June through Labor Day 9-5 pm. You can enter the park by bike and hiking as well.  The container is a plastic ammo can kit with logbook & pencil. It started out with 2 pedometers for trading.

You can easily spend the day at the park, allowing for sometime to find this geocache.
