This is our first event and we will keep things simple with it being an informal gathering of geocachers new and experienced. We will be there from 11:00am until 1:00pm and hope you will join us.
The iconic new bascule bridge at Rhyl Harbour opened in autumn 2013. Its twin 32 metre decks span the River Clwyd – until a boat needs to sail past. They rise into the air as if by magic. Or more accurately, thanks to four cable winches inside the central tower.
On the other side, you’ll find a new public square, a quayside building containing a café and exhibition space and greatly improved facilities for sailors. It is in this square where this event will be held. There are plenty of geocaches nearby and many are suitable for wheelchairs or prams. The event will be an opportunity to get together and enjoy this lovely location and I have it on good authority that some committee members for the Wales Mega 2016 will also be present for a chat. The cafe on the harbour will also be open for refreshments.
Free parking is available or there is a bus stop very close by for those considering public transport.
Hope to see you there
