ABOUT THE LOCATION
Welcome to the FFAFRA , Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area! This property belongs to the USAF and is now used as a vacation spot for military personnel and their families, in addition to being used as a National Guard Training Facility. It is built on a portion of land that used to be the barracks area of the air force base that once stood here. Though the public are welcome to visit, you must be Active or Retired Military to rent and use the facilities here. Please be respectful of the property and park in the designated area while you are a guest here geocaching!
PLEASE NOTE: This geocache is only permitted during daylight hours, and will not be available during the Seafood, Blues, and Jazz Festival without a ticket.
ABOUT THE GEOCACHE
This area has a lot of traffic so PLEASE USE STEALTH while visiting the stages of this Geocache! Leave your vehicle at the waypointed parking area and continue on foot. The posted coordinates will bring you to stage one, where you will find a QR code. The special tool you will need is a "QR code reader" to collect the needed info for stage two and the final location. NOTE: When standing at stage one you will be at a trailhead with a gate. This trail is OFF LIMITS! Please do NOT go past the yellow posts. You should pay more attention to the white one.
